Don't you love this time of year? A time to pack up the decorations
along with any unfinished items on the to do list, get them out of the
way, no need to think about them anymore. Now's the time to start
fresh, organize, reevaluate, make new plans with newfound energy!
2022 brought many amazing firsts on this crazy artistic journey of
mine. In May I sold all six of my paintings in the Southport Plein Air
Festival. Not only that but it was the first time I actually
experienced painting in front of a crowd. A big step for me. My website
is up and running and I am adding this monthly newsletter. Y'all (I
live in NC now) are my first subscribers, thank you so much for your
support. And then out of the blue comes the opportunity to teach weekly
painting classes at Brunswick Community College in Southport. I had so
many trepidations initially but I forged ahead and teaching
surprisingly became one of the highlights of my year.
I have a list a mile long of things I want to accomplish that I'll be
sharing each month. 2023! Doesn't it feel good to know that the world
again is your oyster, (what really does that mean anyway?), that there
are experiences yet to experience, dreams yet to dream.
Might as well dream big!

Last plein air painting of the marsh for 2022. The colors are
constantly changing, I really could paint this same scene every day!
My Pastel Painting class meets Wednesday mornings from 9-12 at
Brunswick Community College in Southport, NC. My spring class is now
full but please contact me if you are interested.
